Century Dental’s Covid-19 Advanced Safety Protocols

CD Guidelines

There is nothing more important than the safety and well-being of our patients, our staff, and all of your loved ones. As you have likely heard, cases of Covid-19 have also been confirmed in Florida, and this may have increased your awareness regarding basic precautions people should take to stay healthy and safe this season.

At Century Dental, we are adopting CDC guidelines. We are well-equipped to deal with this virus. We want to reassure you that our standard procedures for infection control are good enough to deter the spread of Covid-19.

Our dental office remains a safe place for all and plans to remain open for treatment as usual. All services are available from regular hygiene appointments to cosmetic services. Rest assured that we have improved our existing procedures, and we’re taking on additional safety measures.

If you do not need assistance from other people during your appointment, we ask that you kindly go alone. This will help accommodate more patients, one at a time.

We strictly follow social distancing. We have added floor markers that are 6 feet apart, signage on chairs, and a glass shield at the front desk.

We have invested in special suction supplies to help collect aerosols released during dental procedures.

To further enhance our sterilization, we have installed the RDG Reme Halo LED in-duct air purifier. This is the best in its class! It can kill and remove any bacteria, viruses like Covid-19, odors, and dust in the air. See the video here:

We have hand soaps and sanitizers throughout the office. Our staff is required, as always, to clean their hands before interacting with our patients or performing a service. We encourage patients to do the same.

We are sanitizing our dental chair and other service stations’ surfaces in between appointments. Instruments go directly to our autoclave after use.

Expect a preliminary screening over the phone before your appointments.

While our office is kept clean and sanitized at all times, we ask our patients to wait in their cars to avoid contact with other patients. If you cannot make a call or wait in the car, let us know before leaving, and we will make the necessary adjustments.

If you are feeling unwell and have symptoms like coughing, sneezing, or fever at least 48 hours before your appointment, we will have to reschedule. We also ask patients who have traveled to a place where Covid-19 is prevalent to please contact our office before your appointment.

CD We have hand soaps and sanitizers throughout the office.

As we are trying to limit physical contact, an appointment request form is available on our website. A post-appointment survey is also available. We encourage you to take a moment to fill out this form so we can continue providing the kind of care that keeps you as comfortable and safe as possible. We will continue to monitor the situation and follow the CDC and the state health department’s recommendations. We’ll make adjustments if necessary.

We are all going through a tough time right now but we’ll overcome this together!

As always, if you have any questions, concerns, or requests, please reach out to us. Call us at (727) 367-3313.
